Waverly Curtains

F. Schumacher & Co., a maker of exclusive European fabrics, developed the Waverly brand in 1923 to bring new and decorator styled home furnishings and fabrics to the emerging market of American customers who desired more affordable style.

The first collection consisted of eight patterns by American designer Cy Clark and its great success led to the vast and speedy growth of the Waverly line. The company registered the name Waverly Bonded Fabrics in 1926 and F. Schumacher hired advertising firm J. Walter Thompson to develop a promotional campaign, making Waverly an American household name since the early 1920ís. The "Waverly Look," features the company's exquisite Glosheen chintzes, florals, stripes and plaids. The Waverly prints and weaves are timeless fabrics and have been used for draperies, curtains and bedding for almost a century. Today, Bedbathstore is proud to feature a collection of ready made Waverly window panels and valances that make elegant style affordable.
