A weak solution of bleach and water can be sponged on the vinyl shower curtain while it hangs in your tub. Rinse off with your shower hose. Always check for color fastness when using bleach.
Another method is a solution of vinegar and water sponged on your shower curtain while it hangs in your tub. Rinse off with your shower hose. Vinegar can be sponged on directly to the mildewed areas. It is especially good at brightening ip clear vinyl shower curtains.
If you curtain is especially soiled. Remove the shower curtain from its hooks. Next lay the curtain on a flat surface outside. Wet the curtain using a garden hose. Followed by scrubbing the curtain with a sponge and mixture of diluted bleach, using one quart of water for every cup of bleach. Always check for color fastness when using bleach. Rinse thoroughly and repeat on other side if necessary. Finally either line dry or lay flat to dry.
Remember always use a shower liner to protect your shower curtain. It is less expensive to replace a shower liner than your favorite curtain
