I got them for my bedroom in my new house, and I had doubts they'd do the job as far as light is concerned. They do the trick, though, and the purple is suitable even for an adult's room. I also love the options for hanging.Pros:

Great Curtains

These Curtains are fantastic for creating a dark, quiet and energy efficient room. I use them in my kids rooms, where I need the rooms to be very dark. Also, you can feel huge difference in room temperature when you have these curtains up. We live near a busy highway so road noise was a big issue until I got these particular curtains. You can hardly hear the traffic when the curtains are closed. Lastly, the color choices for these curtains are nice for little kids rooms. I would highly recommend these curtains to anyone who needs a nice looking curtain that creates a dark, quiet and temperature controlled space. They
are also washable, which is not common in most energy efficient curtains.

Put these in my 7 year old daughters room over wood blinds. Yes her room is nice and dark- a sleeping child is precious! Have not noticed an energy benefit as of yet. Maybe in the winter..Pros:

I am very pleased with my black out curtains. The fabric and the color are beautiful and match perfectly with my bedroom color scheme. I now just have to figure out how to keep the light from shining out the top of the curtain behind the rod. Shipping was pretty fast and the price was great too.
