Planning a Bathroom Upgrade
No matter what size your bathroom
is and no matter who uses it, there are ways to put your personal stamp on it and make it work for just you and your family. A little planning must come first in order to get the most out of any bathroom
upgrade, whether it involves a complete renovation or just a face lift.Take Stock
What do you like about your current bath? What do you dislike? Consider things like color, fixtures, and, if you are considering renovating, the floor plan. If it's a shared bath, try to take into consideration everyoneís needs. For example, if you have small children you might want to install a lower bath vanity just for their needs.
Once youíve identified your needs, look around at whatís available. Donít worry about price at this stage, just try to find solutions for the issues you came up with in the last step. Often you can find something similar at a price you can afford. This is also the time where you identify the style you like. Pull out pictures from magazines, or take pictures at bath design stores and your local home improvement store. A visual record will help you hone in on what you really like.
Make A Plan
Now that you know what you like, itís time to figure out how to make it a reality. Remember to shop smart: take care of the needs, then go to your wish list.
