I have been searching in my local stores for this type of curtain and none of them matched up to these in appearance, quality or price. These curtains definitely block out the sunlight and make it much cooler in the room. They look great, too! Nice colors to choose from. I bought the artichoke green color for my living room and liked them so much that I ordered the light cafe color for my bedroom. Overall, I am very pleased with these curtains.

These room darkening panels are just what I've been searching for from the large retailers for many years, but have all been out of my limited price range. These fit the bill to a tee! A lovely color, not your usual green type curtain. Very nice with earthtone decor. So far these work wonderfully to block out light and looking forward to seeing a difference in the room temp during the summer and when we get cold fronts below 20.

Had two marks ingrained in material that could not get out, but it is for a bedroom and not worth the hassle of returning. Really thick material, like a tablecloth...it is perfect for our application as we were replacing blinds and thin curtains b/c of our kitties.

We purchased this curtain in 5 different colors (purple, tan, green, chili, denim) for the bedrooms of our Lake House. They arrived quickly. The curtains were easy to iron and hang very nicely, the colors are attractive. The darker the curtain the less light it lets into the room.

These curtain panels arrived folded in nice retail zippered bags, if you don't want to wait for the creases and folds to "hang out" there are instructions for washing and drying, plus ironing, very simple, good for someone like me that avoids dry cleaners at all costs. We are now having one of the coldest winters on record in my state in over 20 years. So I can attest to the curtain's thermal abilities. They Work! I have double large mullioned windows which allow a lot of radiant cooling (in the winter) and very warm to the touch in summer. While I can't give an opinion on the summer usage, I can say that they definately keep those cold areas around windows at bay. As for the blackout portion, I didn't find this to be true in my situation. But then what do you expect with this color? I have vinyl shades that really black out the light, this color of the Kendall Eclipse does not, in my opinion. Buyers that are expecting a "true blackout curtain panel" should probably go for a much darker color if their decor permits. My opinion is simply that it blocks out bright sunlight, while it still allows light in the room. From 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. (my house faces true south) I can see the vinyl shade pattern through the curtain panels. This in my opinion is not "blackout". As for the thermal properties (the main reason I purchased them) They truly work in the winter time. If allowed, I may amend this review after I've gone through a summer with them. At this time I don't know just how much UV rays will affect the thermal coating on the backs, only time will tell me that. Bottom line, if you want an affordable and good looking thermal curtain for your home, these are a very good value.

Not sure about the star system yet as I have not hung them yet. Live in Vermont and waiting until it gets a little colder. But so far looks like what I ordered and I will get back to the review once I have hung them. Thank you as I know I will be keeping them.

These are great. The material is really nice, hangs great. The color is much softer than expected, more a country red which is great for my decor. My house is approximatly 8 degrees cooler than without them and I have no shade anywhere so get the sun almost 8 hours a day. Best buy I could have made.

I purchased these for a guest bedroom to replace some lined black curtains that had faded from the sun. The fabric on these is so rich looking. I have black silk toss pillows in that room and they go with them very well. This room gets the morning sun, so these are great for keeping the room darker when I have a guest overnight. Right now, it is winter and I can feel that they are keeping out the cold breezes. I'm sure they will keep out the heat in summer as well.

I purchased these curtains and they are perfect. They are wrinkled and I haven't tried to remove that yet but according to directions, will be an easy fix in the dryer. The color was exactly what I wanted too. It's difficult to figure this out with pictures but I'm so pleased.

Does what we want it to do. Although we can still see soft sunlight through it during the day (which we like), it blocks the annoying glow of the streetlight at night. Attractive and well-made panel. Very pleased.

We followed the advice of other reviewers. The curtains (which we got in green for one bedroom and blue for another) really have kept the heat in and the light out. They look really nice in our kids' bedrooms but would also look nice in a formal room. They appear to be well made. They are about $1-2 less per panel at Target in limited colors. We are very happy with this purchase which we consider an investment.

I checked many sources before I finally found the color, quality and price I wanted. So I was pleased when the curtains finally arrived. They are hanging in my living room and look great. My husband even said they look very nice after he helped me hang them. So far I am pleased and they do keep the light out. Hope they help with my heating bill also!

Great curtains. Keeps heat out in the summer and heat in during the winter. Got the artichoke green but was a bit darker than the photo. Otherwise great!

This product is sufficient and the price is great. My only mistake was not ordering a longer length because they are shorter than I would have liked them to be but that is obviously my fault.

I needed a curtain to block to cold that comes through our sliding glass door. They match the curtains that hang on the outside (but were not thick or heavy enough to block cold) of my double rod. The price and quality definitely met my expectations.

They have arrived and do seem to make the room a little warmer and definately does keep out most of the light. I would purchase this item again.

These curtains are wonderful - they do block the light and make the room nice and dark, plus it feels warmer since they also block the cold. And the color is beautiful. These are just what we were looking for!

Overall these are good blackout curtais. I had to iron them after taking them out of the package and there were special instructions to do that. There are a few tiny spots that allow the light to come in, however not enough to worry about.

Nice panels, overall everything down to the color (chocolate) I like. I would order again.

These panels are perfect for my office. This was the 3rd attempt to match or coordinate colors for my window treatment valances. The ruby color is awesome. The fabric hangs well and they are truly thermal/energy panels.

I was very happy to see these offered. I do love the color of them, and I believe I'll even use them during the summer months to help with the A/C costs. I wanted these to help keep the cold/cool out of the family room during the cold winter months.
