2 Belvedere 216 Long Scarf Window Valance

I ordered two of these attractive scarves for my rather informal living room in blue and am still deciding whether they are too shiny and appear too formal for the room,, more so than my normal taste would permit. The pale golden yellow embroidery is subtle in this color blue and not too "busy" and I like that feature as they will hang over and near a pale yellow,sofa a chair and a half with ottoman in a relatively close shade of blue and a gold LaZboy recliner (a combination of furniture that just sort of happened). However, I hung one across the widest window on the decorative brackets without first folding them accordion style in order to see how the color coordinated with the room. This is just a temporary method before I can get them folded and hung properly. These are a mid-weight material and I won't know until I hang them properly if they will hang well after hand creasing the sides so they will lay flat on the sides.. I chose these after receiving 8 or 9 samples. They are attractive and stylish but a little darker than I am accustomed to after having a much lighter, pastel window scarves hanging there for 4 or 5 years. I believe I'm going to really like the look of them. Pros:
The density of the material.The light touch of embroidery on the blue scarf.
Attractive and reasonably well made except some small strings where some of the embroidery threads were not cut off which I can just snip the threads off. You have to see them up very close to see these.
I would have preferred a paler shade of blue, but that is just my opinion.. They are a very lovely scarves all around.
Cons:
They are a bit too shiny for my eclectic casual room well furnished, but I knew that from the fabric sample and hoped they would be less "dressy.".Finding enough clean floor space to lay the long scarves for folding accordion style to achieve the look I want.
